It won’t be fixed any time soon.The award winning space simulation Galaxy on Fire 2 is being released in full-HD quality for Windows PC in mid August 2012 and for the first time also with a German language edition, via retail and Steam, indie developer Fishlabs Entertainment has announced.
Take the hint from the ‘Updated’ date here - Nov 27, 2012. And Fishlabs has been ignoring every ticket and support request that is opened for this particular problem - the game is broken and they are simply not doing anything to fix it, and they are ignoring all pleas for help. It turns out this problem is widespread (not just widespread-nobody is playing the DLC’s on OS X). An hour later it still hasn’t connected, so I search online. A message pops up claiming it is attempting to connect and may take up to a minute. Makes perfect sense, and I was willing to pony up the money for the DLC’s all over again as well. I click “load” only to be met with a notification that I can’t load the game-because of the DLC content-to a non-DLC game. The game came up just fine, and there was my iCloud save game from iPad. So I ponied up the money and bought it, eager to play on the bigger screen. When I found this release in the App Store for my PC, I was ecstatic. I spent countless hours playing it on my iPad with the Supernova and Valkyrie expansion packs.
